&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;ENGLISH&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Organisations and business&amp;rsquo; both big and small came together on Friday 26th June 2009 in the Four Seasons Hotel, Ballsbridge, Dublin, where businesses, companies and enterprises were awarded recognition under the Barr 50 Gn&amp;oacute; scheme. M&amp;aacute;irt&amp;iacute;n &amp;Oacute; Muilleoir and L&amp;aacute; Nua first initiated the scheme in 2006. The scheme identifies and gives recognition to businesses and companies who use and preserve the Irish language within their own business.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;TalkIrish was among those who earned a place on this year&amp;#39;s top 50 list. TalkIrish translator, Gear&amp;oacute;id Mac Eoin, went to Dublin and accepted the award on behalf of TalkIrish.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Senator Mary White was in attendance as guest speaker. A wide range of professions and industries had been nominated and it was wonderful to be amongst them in the Top 50. Services provided for range from professional and technical, artistic and media, to retail and catering.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Certain companies and enterprises received special awards such as: &amp;lsquo;Optinet&amp;rsquo; who provide a software service major Irish language organisations and &amp;lsquo;Newry and Mourne Council&amp;rsquo; for their use of the Irish Language within the public sector.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Siobh&amp;aacute;n U&amp;iacute; Scannl&amp;aacute;in and Bill Scanlon received the Marketing award for their company &amp;lsquo;Fabraic F&amp;iacute;or &amp;Aacute;lainn&amp;rsquo; /The Fabulous Fabric Company, Co.
