    oopps rinne mé dearmad

I am trying to learn how to put sentences together. So hang in there with me , le do thoil.  Now to say..It's late, I'm going to bed. I know it's late would be..tá sé mall, however, I'm going to bed throws me. I have the...Tá mé ag dul (I'm going ) part, but not sure on how to say ..'to'  luí. The "to" is throwing me. Or maybe you wouldn't even say it like that in Irish. Maybe it's just ..It's late. I'm going to sleep. Can someone help me , le do thoil? Thanks, Kay

Try téim a choladh or táim ag dul a choladh. Note that luí is the state of lying down, as in tá me i mo luí. Not necessarily in bed or sleeping. Coladh is the sleep word.

    But I'm not an expert....

    Is mise le meas,

One note:  "codladh" is spelled "codladh" even though the first "d" is not usually pronounced.  So "táim ag dul a chodladh"....
