    Hi ancharraig, thanx for the tip. However I think I will persevere with Rosetta Stone - it is too expensive to put into moth balls - I am not overly concerned about dialects at the moment. I just want to learn Irish.

    I am learning Gaeilge with Rosetta Stone. But I need to get some practice with native speakers or at least with goups of people fluent in the language, but I find that intimidating. However.......I must make the effort!!! Roy.

    The Pimsleur package arrived and I've been listening to it for the past few days, yes you can learn from it fairly easily, though I did find it a bit boring in that I already knew quite a few of the words and phases covered it the course. I picked up bout a dozen words that I had not used before...
